This table pushes the functionality of dining furniture. It also challenges the tradition of the head of the table being the hierarchy of power. With each half of the table being angled, there is a new dialogue in power. It may be assumed that it is the highest side of the table looking down upon whoever is in front of them.
During the project’s development, I needed to create a new process to simulate a snapped edge. While the top was being hand-made, the legs were being CNCed to be then glued together.
